On 21 February 2024 the Change Board voted to approve this modification under Self-Governance. This will be implemented as an ad hoc SEC Release on 9 September 2024.
What is the issue?
There is currently no obligations in the SEC for the DCC to report current (WAN) coverage percentages or any work which is ongoing to improve them.
What is the solution?
This modification will introduce two new reports and a new template for reporting WAN incidents.
The first new report will include a high level summary of the WAN coverage level in each CSP Region, addresses where there is no WAN and where the WAN status has changed in the previous three months.
A new template will be created for reporting on WAN incidents, with the second new report collating all of the incidents.
