The Smart Energy Code (SEC) Party Engagement Contact Service has been put in place to support SEC Parties in understanding their rights and obligations in relation to the Code.
The service provides a central point of contact to support SEC Party’s queries in regards to the SEC. This function will serve as additional contact alongside the main SECAS helpdesk and the SEC guidance that is available to download on the SEC Website.
The Service
Our SEC Party Engagement Contacts provide named support to each SEC Party Category. Services include:
Party Engagement Services: The Party Engagement Contacts are the first point of contact for SEC Party specific queries. Our range of services includes (but is not limited to):
- Assisting a SEC Party with becoming a DCC User;
- Assisting a SEC Party with understanding their obligations relating to their role(s) in accordance with the Code; and/or
- Assisting a SEC Party with any interaction they may wish to have with either the SEC Panel, or a SEC Panel Sub-Committee.SECAS will continue to produce new and updating existing guidance documentation to assist SEC Parties with their understanding of the Code.
Training and Workshops: The service can also provide more face to face communication and engagement at a SEC Party level. We offer to provide presentations to SEC Parties on areas including (but not limited to):
- Acceding to the SEC;
- Smart Metering Key Infrastructure (SMKI), Infrastructure Key Infrastructure (IKI) and DCC Key Infrastructure (DCCKI) requirements;
- Security and Privacy requirements and assessment processes;
- User Entry Process requirements; and
- Testing.
