On 9 December 2021, an updated version of the SEC came into effect to re-designate SEC Appendix AK ‘SEC Variation Testing Approach Document for Smart Metering Equipment Technical Specifications (SMETS) 1 Services’ and SEC Appendix AL ‘SMETS1 Transition and Migration Approach Document’. This is in support of the Data Communications Company (DCC) Smart Metering Equipment Technical Specifications (SMETS) 1 service.
Summary of changes
This update amends the process by which categories of SMETS1 Smart Metering Systems (SMS) or Installations are excluded from migration. The DCC modification letter can be found here.
