SEC Panel Elections – Update and call for Other SEC Party vote

30 August 2022

23 September 2022 signals the end of term for those Panel Members serving a 24-month term. In July SECAS issues nominations for the following four seats:

  • one person elected by the Other SEC Parties
  • one person elected by the Large Supplier Parties
  • one person elected by the Electricity Network Parties
  • one person elected by the Small Supplier Parties

For Vote: Other SEC Parties

SECAS received two nominations for the Other SEC Parties seat, Ash Pocock of Meta Energy, and Patrick Caiger-Smith of Green Energy Options Ltd.

This will now go to a vote open to all Other SEC Parties. Please find attached information about the candidates and the voting form. You can also find the attached documents on our website here. To submit your vote, please fill out the voting form and return to the SECAS helpdesk (SECAS@gemserv.com). Voting closes at 5pm on Tuesday, 13 September.

Voting closes at 5pm on Tuesday 13 September.

Large Supplier Seat

SECAS received one nomination for the Large Supplier seat, Emslie Law from Ovo Energy. There were no further nominations, so Emslie will join the Panel from the start of the new term.

Small Supplier Seat

SECAS received one nomination for the Small Supplier seat, James Burney from SSE. There were no further nominations, so James will join the Panel from the start of the new term.

Electricity Network Seat

SECAS received one nomination for the Large Supplier seat, Alex Travell from BU UK. There were no further nominations, and Alex is an existing member, so he will continue in this seat for a further term.
