SEC Panel Elections – Update and Call for Other SEC Parties and Large Supplier Vote

15 August 2023

23 September 2023 signals the end of term for those Panel Members serving a 24-month term. In July SECAS issued nominations for the following four seats:

  • one person elected by the Other SEC Parties
  • one person elected by the Large Supplier Parties
  • one person elected by the Gas Network Parties
  • one person elected by the Small Supplier Parties

For Vote: Other SEC Parties

SECAS received three nominations for the Other SEC Parties seat, Michael Snowdon of Secure Meters, Patrick Caiger-Smith of geo and James Murphy of Stark.

This will now go to a vote open to all Other SEC Parties.

For Vote: Large Supplier Seat

SECAS received three nominations for the Large Supplier seat, Ralph Baxter of Octopus Energy, Alastair Cobb of British Gas and Ian Burgess of Utilita.

This will now go to a vote open to all Large Supplier Parties.

Gas Network Seat

SECAS received one nomination for the Gas Network Party seat, Martin Shannon from Cadent Gas. There were no further nominations, so Martin will join the Panel from the start of the new term.

Small Supplier Seat

SECAS received one nomination for the Small Supplier seat, Carolyn Burns. There were no further nominations, so Carolyn will join the Panel from the start of the new term.
