  • one person elected by the Large Supplier Parties
  • one person elected by the Small Supplier Parties

  • one person elected by the Other SEC Parties

Please see below for outcomes of the election:

Large Supplier Seat

SECAS received one nomination for the Large Supplier seat, Emslie Law from Ovo Energy, who will commence a two-year term from 23 September. Emslie has been involved in the Smart Metering Programme since its inception in the SMOF days, sitting on several Transitional and Enduring Committees covering a broad range of technical and governance items.

Small Supplier Seat

SECAS received one nomination for the Small Supplier seat, James Burney from SSE, who will commence a two-year term from 23 September. James has been involved in the UK Smart Meter roll out since 2015, having worked in both Small and Large suppliers and currently works for a non-domestic supplier. James is also an active member of the Security Sub-Committee and the SMKI PMA.

Electricity Network Parties

SECAS received one nomination for the Electricity Network Parties seat, Alex Travell from BU UK. Alex holds the existing Electricity Networks seat on the SEC Panel, and as there were no further nominations he will commence a new term.

Other SEC Parties

SECAS received two nominations for the Other SEC Parties seat, Ash Pocock of Meta Energy, and Patrick Caiger-Smith of Green Energy Options Ltd. Voting for this seat closed on Tuesday 13 September, and the successful candidate was Ash Pocock. Ash has been an Other SEC Party SEC Panel representative for two years, and Chairs the SEC Strategic Working Group and Other SEC Parties forum. Thank you to all who voted.
