BEIS response to consultations on Code and Licence Changes

Today, the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) published its response and conclusions on:

  • Proposed changes to the DCUSA to Facilitate the Installation of Alt HAN Point-to-Point Equipment as set out in the 28 May 2021 consultation.

On 15 July 2021, BEIS published its response and conclusions on:

  • Proposed SEC changes for the Enduring Change of Supplier Arrangements and Certain Security Provisions as set out in the 1 April 2021 consultation.

On 1 June 2021, BEIS published its response and conclusions on:

  • The Smart Meter Policy Framework Post 2020: minimum annual targets and reporting thresholds for Energy Suppliers as set out in the 23 November 2020 consultation

Following consideration of stakeholder responses, BEIS has published its conclusions and has laid the regulatory changes to the main body of the SEC and to Energy Suppliers’, energy network operators’ and the Distribution Connection and Use of System Agreement (DCUSA) before Parliament, in line with the procedure under Section 89 of the Energy Act 2008.
