SEC version 131.0 came into effect today, 26 February 2026, to implement the February 2026 SEC Release.
This Release includes three modifications and contains legal text changes only.
The following modifications were in scope of the February 2026 SEC Release:
- MP303 ‘Aligning DCC Certificate processes with SMKI standards’
- MP310 ‘Trial Device Assurance Certificate’
- MP314 ‘Housekeeping Changes for February 2026 SEC Release’
The following sections were affected by the February 2026 SEC Release:
- SEC Section F ‘Smart Metering System Requirements’
- SEC Section G ‘Security’
- Section H ‘DCC Services’
- Section J ‘Payment of Charges’
- Section L ‘Smart Metering Key Infrastructure and DCC Key Infrastructure’
- Appendix A ‘Device Certificate Policy’
- Appendix B ‘Organisation Certificate Policy’
- Appendix M ‘SMKI Interface Design Specification’
- Appendix T ‘DCCKI Interface Design Specification’
The following SEC Party is impacted by the February 2026 SEC Release:
- DCC (for MP303 only)
The Modification Proposals implemented as part of this SEC Release will not have any impact on SEC Parties. The wording implemented in the affected documents will however provide a benefit to SEC Parties as it addresses grammatical errors and provides more clarity to existing obligations.
