The main body SEC and licence changes to support 4G in the North and VWAN have come into effect on 11 September 2025 following the completion of the parliamentary process under Section 88 of the 2008 Energy Act. References to the relevant conclusions documents can be found here and here.

DESNZ has yesterday, 11 September 2025 also published its response to its consultation1 on the first version of the Virtual WAN Transition Document and is designating the document for incorporation into the SEC.
