On 9 August 2021 the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) published a consultation on changes to the GB Companion Specification (GBCS) to address operational issues associated with re-joining Gas Smart Metering Equipment (GSME) through Change Resolution Proposals (CRPs) 613 and 649.
