Emslie Law joined the Energy Industry in 2000, starting in the Non-Domestic sector of the market. Emslie was involved in the FOUNDATION working groups chaired by Department for Energy and Climate Change (DECC) Foundation Interim Operating Model FIOM) and the inaugural Transitional Working Groups which precipitated the formation of the Data and Communications Company (DCC) and the Smart Energy Code (SEC). Before transitioning into the pre–Smart Meter Equipment Technical Specification (SMETS1) domestic retail area, Emslie worked extensively in the Market Wide Half Hourly market. Emslie became involved in the early stages of the SMETS1 programme, and the Smart Metering Operational Framework (SMOF) produced by Ofgem, before the Department for Energy and Climate Change (DECC) took over the Smart Metering Implementation Programme (SMIP). With over 20 years in the energy industry, Emslie offers a breadth of expertise and experience in technical and operational Smart Metering. As well as Panel and Board, Emslie also represents Large Suppliers on the Operations Group and the Technical Architecture and Business Architecture Sub Committee (TABASC).
