Angela Love
Angela is the Chair of the Smart Energy Code (SEC) Panel and SECCo Board, joining in March 2023. With a career spanning over thirty years in the energy sector Angela has a passion for supporting vulnerable customers, assuring consumer safety and developing solutions to market issues.
Prior to joining the SEC, she was Director of Future Markets and Engagement at Elexon, the administrator of the Balancing and Settlement Code, where she was responsible for setting up and, for 18 months, running the £90m industry Market-wide Half-hourly Settlement Programme.
Angela has had a varied career, spending 13 years as an independent consultant and fifteen years at Scottish Power in industry facing roles. She was also a member of the Ofgem Stakeholder Engagement and Vulnerable Customer Panel for 5 years(assessing Transmission and Distribution companies performance).
She is Chair of the SP Energy Networks (Transmission and Distribution) and Cadent RIIO Independent Stakeholder Groups
and is a Non-Executive Director on the Board of the System Operator of Northern Ireland.
