Alina Bakhareva
Alina is the Director of Code and Regulatory Strategy, she joined SECCo on 3 June 2024.
Alina has a wealth of experience in the energy industry, spanning nearly 20 years. She has worked for leading management consultancies and in-house strategy functions in the UK and abroad, providing market intelligence, strategy development and stakeholder engagement services. Most recently Alina worked for Elexon, overseeing regulatory risks and opportunities assessment, providing strategic support to the Board and Executive, and leading high-profile consultation responses.
She is responsible for managing the SEC Code at a strategic level, ensuring effective liaison and cooperation with other relevant codes, and providing strategic input into market-wide changes and initiatives. Alina’s role also includes overseeing and driving SEC’s engagement with industry and stakeholders.
