On the 16 January 2020, the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) confirmed it would be taking forward changes to the Smart Energy Code (SEC) and the Data Communications Company (DCC) Licence that was the subject of a consultation in September 2019.
The legal text was laid in Parliament and came into effect in March 2020. This Direction operationally activates from 12 May 2021 an aspect of the Smart Energy Code and DCC Licence relating to the Interoperability Checker Service that is provided by Citizen’s Advice.
