The SECCo consultation on the potential establishment of a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) to participate in the procurement process for the new Smart Meter Communication Licence, closed on 02 April 2025. The SPV Consultation focused on potential changes to the Smart Energy Code (SEC), as proposed by the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero, to allow for the establishment of a SECCo subsidiary that could become the successor DCC Licence holder.

Following the closure of the consultation, we would like to invite you to a webinar, where will we provide more information on:

  • The SPV process in more detail
  • The analysis that SECCo has completed to guide the Board’s decision,
  • Clarity around questions that were raised during the consultation.

The webinar will take place on Tuesday 22 April 2025 from 2pm – 4pm.

To register your place, and to provide any questions you many have ahead of the session, please respond to SEC@seccoltd.com by Thursday 17 April 2025.
