Between 17 January and 16 February 2024, the Data Communications Company (DCC) consulted upon a revised version of SEC Appendix H – Communications Hub Handover Support Materials (CHHSM) which included changes to support the 4G Communications Hub forecasting, ordering and delivery service being introduced by the 4G Communications Hub & Networks (CH&N) programme.
The DCC subsequently published a consultation conclusions report on the DCC website on 5 April 2024, before providing the Department for Energy Security & Net Zero (‘the Department’) with a proposed revised draft of the CHHSM on 8 April 2024 for re-designation.
In a further consultation published on the DCC website on 24 June 2024, the DCC sought views on a designation date of 16 September 2024 for the revised CHHSM drafting, which was expected to follow the coming into legal effect of the Department’s changes to the DCC Licence and main-body SEC to support the delivery of the 4G CH&N programme. All respondents agreed with a designation date of 16 September 2024 (or within one month thereafter).
The Department’s changes to the DCC Licence and main-body SEC to support the CH&N programme have now come into legal effect. Having considered the DCC submission, the Department is today re-designating Appendix H – CHHSM as version 4.0 in the form submitted by the DCC on 8 April 2024.
