Good Afternoon,
SEC v90.0 came into effect today (19 July 2024) to implement a Department of Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ) Designation.
Between 24 June and 5 July 2024, the Data Communications Company (DCC) consulted upon a revised version of the Network Evolution Transition and Migration Approach Document (NETMAD) which included transitional arrangements relating to:
– ordering of 4G Test Communications Hubs;
– the provision of Device and User System Tests in respect of the 4G service by the DCC;
– the end dating of some transitional arrangements; and
– provisions that clarify that until the second Live Services Criteria go-live decision has been made, the DCC would not be permitted to manufacture or deliver 4G Communications Hubs other than those that are required for the Initial Pallet Validation activity.
The DCC concluded on this consultation on 12 July 2024.
Following the DCC’s consultation, the Department for Energy Security & Net Zero has issued a direction letter, dated 19 July 2024, to re-designate the NETMAD as version 3.0.
Documents relating to the Designation can be found here, and the latest version of Appendix AU can be found here.
