This modification was implemented on 3 November 2022 as part of the November 2022 SEC Release.
What is the issue?
MP098 'Incorporation of multiple Issue Resolution Proposals into the SEC - Batch 3' was implemented in the November 2020 SEC Release. It incorporated 20 non-Data Communications Company (DCC) System impacting Issue Resolution Proposals (IRPs) into the GB Companion Specification (GBCS) v4.0 and Smart Metering Equipment Technical Specifications 2 (SMETS2) of that release.
During the development of MP098, there was no material benefit to implement the 20 IRPs into the GBCS version 3 series. SEC Parties would like the option to incorporate these 20 IRPs into the GBCS v3 series as and when a material change necessitates an uplift to the next GBCS v3.x.
What is the solution?
The Proposed Solution was originally to incorporate these 20 IRPs into the GBCS version 3 series as and when a material change necessitates an uplift to the next GBCS v3.x. MP143 is the only modification seeking an uplift to the GCBS version 3 series.
Following feedback from TSIRS and Device Manufacturers this has now been amended to implement only 5 IRPs that are required to remain compliant with the Commercial Product Assurance (CPA) scheme.
