Becoming a SEC Party
The SEC states that if you are a Supplier or a Network, you are required in most cases to become a Party to the SEC in order to fulfil your Ofgem Standard Licence Conditions (SLCs).
Here we outline the steps you need to take:
Identify your category: if you are a Supplier or a Network, you’re typically required to join the SEC to meet Ofgem Standard Licence Conditions (SLCs). Companies without Ofgem licences can join as Other SEC Parties. Both companies and individuals can join.
There are five SEC Party categories:
- Large Suppliers
- Small Suppliers
- Electricity Networks
- Gas Networks
- Other SEC Parties
Once you have identified your category, or categories, you can begin the three-step accession application process.
Please contact the SECAS Helpdesk with any questions.
The Party Engagement Team are here to support you every step of the way of your accession journey and as a SEC Party.
