In September 2016 BEIS issued a consultation on the Smart Energy Code and Licence Amendments. In response to the consultation, BEIS committed to working with Ofgem and other relevant parties to develop guidance to help organisations manage data privacy situations where the bill-payer does not occupy the premises to which energy is supplied.

The guidance has now been published in the form of an open letter to SEC Parties, which can be viewed here.

If you have any queries regarding the letter please contact SECAS for further information (SEC@seccoltd.com).
