The SEC Privacy Sub-Committee (PSC) is seeking input as part of its review of SEC Section I: Privacy and MP283 ‘Data Breach Reporting’.

The PSC was formed in 2024, and it aims to collect reports of personal data breaches affecting smart metering system data, like the reports of cyber incidents received by the Security Sub-Committee (SSC). We are seeking your feedback on how this process should operate.

We invite you to share specific examples of challenges you have faced when dealing with personal data breaches related to smart metering systems. Additionally, we are interested in any support you would like the PSC to provide, whether for your business or for the industry, in understanding and handling personal data breaches. Please also share any concerns you may have and examples of regulatory best practices.

Please complete the consultation by 17:00 on 05 June 2025. For any questions, please address to SEC@seccoltd.com.
