On 20 December 2023, DESNZ issued a response (and associated legal drafting) to their consultation issued on 1 September 2023 on changes to the DCC Licence and the main-body of the SEC to support the provision of a next generation 4G communications service by the DCC in the central and south regions of Great Britain.
On 7 May 2024 DESNZ laid those changes before Parliament – alongside an Explanatory Memorandum – which are expected to be introduced into the DCC Licence and main-body of the SEC on 25 June 2024.
