Between 10 September and 8 October 2024, DCC consulted on its proposals relating to the SMETS1 FOC cohort, including DCC’s draft Decommissioning Timetable for the Requesting Party services in respect of the FOC (BG) cohort and not providing a migration solution to residual meters in FOC. DCC concluded on the proposals in the consultation on 18 October 2024.
Today, the Department for Energy Security & Net Zero (DESNZ) issued its decision letter in relation to these proposals, including to approve DCC’s draft Decommissioning Timetable. Activities to close the Requesting Party services would begin from 10 November 2024, provided that all migrations have concluded.
