Dear SEC Parties,

The DCC has issued the below advice on the DCC Testing Services Day, to be held on Tuesday 9 July 2024 at Brabazon. The Testing Services Day is open to all SEC Parties to attend. Please contact DCC at TestingServices.Initiatives@smartdcc.co.uk should you wish to attend or have any questions.

DCC Update

DCC has previously issued a communication (“Register Interest for Testing Services Customer Event Day“) on 12 April 2024 to all Test Participants and manufacturers for a Testing Services Day on 9 July 2024. The day itself is for DCC to ‘re-launch’ the test facility and services available to both existing and new customers.  The day has been structured as follows:

DCC has been maintaining touch point communications with Test Participants and regular updates at TDEG (Testing Design Execution Group) and TAG.

The CH&N Programme has seen this event as an opportunity for parties who are participating in 4G testing and are planning on doing this in the DCC Test Lab, to save some time when UIT-B opens up in early August by having biometrics and any other necessary pre-requisite done in advance.

The messaging around this could have been a little clearer – the purpose of the day is as per the agenda above. Getting biometrics done ready for 4G testing is an ‘add-on’ to the day and will be done before 10:30, during lunch or after 16:30. However there will also be an opportunity to attend the lab in advance on a choice of day to arrange biometrics, otherwise if that isn’t possible this can be done on day 1 of the UIT window.
