We are thrilled to announce that following the successful outcome of the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ) consultation on the Transitional Approach Document v2 (SEC Appendix AV), CyTAL, the appointed CPA Scheme Operator, is now ready to accept new CPA evaluation enquiries. CyTAL will embark on a period of dual running with National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) as far as any ‘in-flight’ CPA evaluations are concerned that is expected to continue until the end of March 2025.

Key points to note:

  • In-Flight Evaluations: The NCSC will continue to support CyTAL during a dual-running period of the Scheme that is expected to continue until the end of March 2025. This period will include knowledge transfer sessions to ensure a smooth transition of technical knowledge.
  • Responsibility Transfer: The overall responsibility for delivering, maintaining, and operating the CPA Scheme has been transferred from NCSC to the Security Sub-Committee (SSC).
  • Website Updates: SECAS has updated the SEC website to include CPA-specific pages and resources. These changes are now live, and the landing page for CPA can be accessed here.
  • Completion: This transition is expected to be fully completed by April 2025.

We look forward to this new chapter and the continued collaboration with all stakeholders to ensure the success of the CPA Scheme. If you have any questions, please reach out to SEC@seccoltd.com.
