The SEC Panel approved the Performance Assurance Board’s (PAB) Annual Performance Assurance Report (APAR) for publication on the SEC website during its meeting on 26 May 2026, marking an important milestone in the SEC’s Performance Assurance journey. Please note that you will need to be logged in to the SEC website to access the document.
The APAR provides a transparent, evidence-based overview of performance assurance activity carried out during the reporting period. It sets out how assurance techniques have been applied to manage risks and issues linked to the General SEC Objectives, while also highlighting the effectiveness, cost and potential improvement of the Performance Assurance Framework (PAF).
This first report covers the period from 05 January to 31 March 2026, covering the early stages of the SEC Performance Assurance Mobilisation Phase, which runs until the end of September 2026. With the APAR now live on the SEC website, its findings will play a central role in shaping and refining the PAF ahead of the SEC Performance Assurance Pilot Phase, beginning in October 2026.
The publication of this first APAR sets a strong foundation for transparency, continuous improvement and informed decision‑making as the SEC moves into the next phase of its assurance programme.
