We are into election season for the SEC Sub-Committees. Read on to learn about several SEC election updates as well as our usual updates about the SEC, Modifications and recent publications.

Security Sub-Committee (SSC) Membership Election Update
Following the SSC Member Elections in July 2019, the following candidates were elected by their Party Categories to be Members of the Sub-Committee:

Operations Group Call for Nominations
Would you like to represent your Party type in the Operations Group? October 2019 is the end of term for several Members. We are calling for OPSG nominations for:
- 6x Large and 1x Small Supplier representatives
- 1x Electricity and 1x Gas Network representative
- 2x Other SEC Party representatives

Coming soon: The TABASC Effectiveness Review Survey
We want to hear from you! Your input will be invaluable for us to understand the specific aspects of live operations affecting the User experience with the End-to-End processes including those managed and provided by the DCC.
We will seek feedback from SEC Parties and the DCC and will issue the survey on 9 September 2019.

Spotlight on the SEC

DCC customer engagement event on Communication Hub Order Management System (OMS)
The DCC is hosting two customer engagement events which will provide SEC Parties with information and an update on the OMS Project. The events are being held at:
- Brabazon House (Manchester) on 25 September 2019, 12.30 – 16.30 and
- Ibex House (London) on 2 October 2019, 13.00-17.00

New Draft Proposal
One new Draft Proposal has been raised since the last newsletter:
- DP083 ‘Change Coordination’ will explore coordinating DCC User changes that may impact the DCC Systems.

New version of Security Controls Framework and Agreed Interpretations
On 28 August 2019, The SSC approved Version 1.18 of Part 1 and Part 2 of the Security Controls Framework (SCF) and Version 1.9 of the Agreed Interpretations (AIs). The changes are:
Security Controls Framework
- Updated to clarify equivalence between SEC Security obligations and the Networks and Information Systems (NIS) Directive Principles and Indicators of Good Practice for Operators of Essential Services (OES).
- Added a clarification to the FAQs in Part 1 and Appendix E in Part 2. Allowing a Memorandum of Understanding or a Letter of Intent to be submitted for G3.18 – G3.20 compliance, rather than a full contract.
Agreed Interpretations
- Updated to include a new section 13 to clarify equivalence between SEC security obligations and the NIS and CAF Principles and Indicators of Good Practice (IGP) to avoid duplication of assurance.

DCC consultation on Changes to the Intimate Communications Hub Interface Specification (ICHIS)
The DCC is consulting on amendments to the ICHIS concerning changes to the temporary Radio Frequency provisions. The closing date is 13 September 2019.
