SEC Panel Draft Budget 2019 – 2022
The SEC Panel is currently consulting on its Draft Budget for the next three Regulatory Years. See more about the draft budget and how you can comment on it here. The deadline for comments is 31 January. The Panel will consider comments from Parties, and any changes as a result will be included in a future newsletter.
Reminder: Invitation to Tender
The Security Sub Committee (SSC) are inviting security vendors to tender for the provision of consultancy services for the ‘Mitigation of security risks arising from internet-connected devices. The deadline for tenders is tomorrow, 18 January. You can see more information and download the Invitation to Tender on the SEC website.
Ofgem Forward Work Programme
Ofgem has published its Forward Work Programme for 2019-21. Ofgem is consulting on a two year programme to take into account two significant events over the next two years – Brexit and the Smart Meter Rollout (with the 31 December 2020 deadline being close to the end of the work programme). There are several areas of work which will be of interest to or may affect SEC Parties. You can download the consultation here. SECAS has produced a synopsis of the key contents as they affect SEC parties. The consultation closes on 15 February 2019.
BEIS consultation on DCC licence change regarding Enduring Change of Supplier
On 9 January 2019 BEIS issued a consultation letter to Ofgem, the SEC Panel, SEC Parties and other interested parties seeking views on proposed changes to the DCC licence to require the DCC to develop and implement plans to support Enduring Change of Supplier arrangements.

The deadline for responses to this consultation is 21 February 2019.
BEIS consultation on Transition and Migration Approach Document
On 14 January 2019 BEIS issued a consultation letter to Ofgem, the SEC Panel, SEC Parties and other interested parties seeking views on the incorporation date of the Transition and Migration Approach Document (TMAD) into the Smart Energy Code (SEC).

The deadline for responses to this consultation is 28 January 2019.
