Following on from BEIS’ consultation on the uplift of the GB Companion Specification (GBCS) and the Smart Metering Equipment Technical Specifications (SMETS) to support Emergency Credit changes, GBCS v3.2 Draft 2 and SMETS2 v.4.2 Draft 1 will be baselined on 7 June 2019 and will be available on our Developing SEC webpage.
On 10 June 2019, we will then baseline GBCS v3.2 Draft 3, SMETS2 v4.1 Draft 2 and the Communications Hub Technical Specifications (CHTS) v1.3 Draft 1 to include the following SEC Modification Proposals being implemented in the November 2019 SEC Release:
- SECMP0018 ‘Standard Electricity Distributor Configuration Settings’
- SECMP0023 ‘Correct Units of Measure for Uncontrolled Gas Flow Rate’
- SECMP0025 ‘Electricity Network Party Access to Load Switching Information’
- SECMP0055 ‘Incorporation of multiple Issue Resolution Proposals into the SEC’ (pending final decision)
These documents will then be designated into the SEC on 4 July 2019, following the Change Board’s decision on SECMP0055, to become effective on 7 November 2019.
We will also be baselining the DCC User Interface Specification (DUIS) v3.1 and the Message Mapping Catalogue (MMC) v3.1 on 10 June for the changes in the November 2019 SEC Release. These changes will be designated into the SEC as part of the release on 7 November 2019.
